In the heart of Boğatepe, nestled within stone walls that have witnessed history, a living heritage awaits you: Ecomuseum Zavot. As Turkey’s first thematic cheese museum, it tells the story of Kars’ rich cheese culture, a history deepened by migrations, and its pristine nature. We aim to preserve the wisdom of our village, our production traditions, and the values of rural life alongside our visitors, ensuring they are passed on to future generations.

Today, we are taking an exciting new step in our project, the "Zavot KÖK (Village-Teacher-Culture House) Rural Memory and Learning Center," which was launched to pass our village’s rich history and cultural heritage on to future generations: We are Creating Our Digital Village Archive!
As the Boğatepe Environment and Life Association, we are pleased to announce that we have taken one of the most important steps in our corporate identity renewal process by completely updating our website.
We are thrilled and proud to announce that our project, "Transhumances: InterRegional Education in AgroSilvoPastoralism," in which the Boğatepe Environment and Life Association is a partner with Yerküre Cooperative, has been approved for funding by the European Union's ERASMUS+ Programme.
