Activities

As Boğatepe Environment and Life Association, we have been developing projects that combine nature, culture, and community-driven development since the beginning. By blending local wisdom with scientific methods, we work in areas ranging from biodiversity and solidarity tourism to women's empowerment and climate-friendly production. Through national and international partnerships, these projects aim to provide sustainable solutions for rural areas, inspired by the Boğatepe model.

As part of the Istanbul Biennial, three workshops on sculpture, video production, and wool crafts were organized in Boğatepe village with three different artists. 25 women and 15 children from the village participated. The outputs of these workshops were featured in the exhibition in Istanbul. The process was guided by Spanish artist Fernando Garcia Dory (INLAND). Four women from the village traveled from Kars to Istanbul to serve as facilitators in a workshop held with exhibition visitors.
